Sebenza pocket clips

I have two questions regarding pocket clips. I have two large Sebenzas and I tried to remove the pocket clips on both. After removing the screw I was still not able to get the clip off either knife. it is in there very tight. I preyed it a little with a small screw driver but didn't want to scratch or damage anything so I stopped. Should it be this hard to get the pocket clip off? It is the same on both knives.

I was also wondering if there were different clips available, I don't really like the dull grey clip and wouldn't mind getting a stainless steel clip for my gabon inlay knife, or just taking off the clip and spray painting it black to match the inlays.

The clips are very tight in the cutout. You might need to wrap your screwdriver in cloth or paper towel to protect the knife and pry a little harder. I got a Gabon inlay Sab with a partially scotch brited clip. I removed in and polished it up to match the flats. It looks good. Photo for comparison to the stock clip. It took some work to even it out, and its still not perfect, but it does match pretty well, and I'm happy with it.

Sometimes those suckers are TIGHT... use a non metalic ietm, chop stick, etc and gently pry from underneath as close to where the screw was as you can.... When re-installing get it flush in the hole(recess) BEFORE you screw it in!

Just use something wooden and gently pry the clip out, it won't damage the surface.

Must say, I have never seen one so tight that I could not get out with prying??

I had the same issue. I went to take mine out just for some cleaning, and after a good couple times prying without progress, I just left it in. If I needed to get it off I could have done it a bit harder, but it wasn't worth the risk.

Now that the knife has been edc'ed for a month, I'd be much less reluctant to mark it up.

Llasi what did you polish it with? I would really like to do that to my clips and have them match the polished finish on handles. any details on the process would be appreciated. I whish you could just buy a polished clip.
