I recently purchased a small standard Sebenza secondhand from cpirtle (Thanks again Chad). This was actually the first time I had physically seen one of the Reeve folders. As with the fixed-blades, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the knife. The action is incredibly smooth, the lock is solid, and the whole knife reflects careful design and attention to detail. Cutting with the Sebenza is a pleasure, from the blade design to the feel of the handle and grip points. So far, I have used the knife while saltwater fishing, cleaning fish, and it just spent two days clipped to the inside of my shorts while soaking wet from rain. Not a speck of rust, and it can be completely disassembled for cleaning with no hiding places for gunk. Pure functionality, just what I was looking for.
As for the price, I have seen many posts where people are hesitant to purchase or use a single knife in this price range, but have a collection of > $50 pocketknives. A Sebenza is not cheap, but when you consider the material, pride, and quality that is built into this knife, it is a bargain. This knife is easily the best pocketknife I have ever seen and IMHO, quality is one of the great intangible pleasures in life.
So, in short, thanks to Chris and crew for the outstanding knife, and thanks to the Sebenza brain trust here at BF. All of the reviews, pictures, and praise sold me on this great knife.
