Sebenza problem

Well, after the whole process of disassemble-clean-lube and assembling back my small regular sebbie I noticed that the locking bar gets "stuck" and it's very difficult to unlock the blade in order to close it. I've followed the instructions carefully and everything went smoothly especially when I set the blade back into the handles. This is quite strange considering the close tolerances from the factory assembling.
These are some things "I did" and "I did not"

I am a total "newbie" to the Sebenzas
This is my first CRK knife and I received it just two weeks ago
This is the first time for me to take the blade apart
I didn't applied any brute force to the assembling pieces or screws tightness
I used a bit of teflon grease just between the washers, blade and pivot
I've never flicked the knife to open it ( I had very bad experiences with CRKT M-16's)
I have quite strong fingers due to use hand tools everyday at work.

I love this knife and I need HELP :o

That's the only issue? And it didn't get stuck before?

Provided you are confident it was assembled correctly, you can try a couple of things:

Make sure the tang of the blade where it locks up against is clean and free of any kind of debris, ditto on the lock bar tang.

You can use a graphite pencil and scribble on the blade tang and or lock.

It wasn't like that before and if I cut something then I need to use both hands to unlock the knife. I have some graphite powder in my work bench, I will get it and try what you suggested :) Thanks!

Does it feel like it kind of pops when it lets go?

I have a BM ministryker that has done that since the day it was bought 10 yrs ago. Here is what i have learned about it. When it is dusty it doesn't stick when I clean it like I did the other night (particualrly with a mild solvent) it sticks. From what I understand it has something to do with titanium against steel.
Try the graphite it should take care of it. As far as why one sticks when others don't,I don't have a good answer for you. If you find out let us know.

Glad to hear you still love the knife after what has happened, which should not. I would try to take it apart again and reassemble. Maybe, just maybe, you assembled it wrong. Better done trying to force it to work.

Yeah, try to reassemble it. Occasionally, when I took mine apart, it didnt feel "right" after I reassembed it. Did it again, and it was like its supposed to be. I dont exactly know what I did wrong, but it seems like it can happen (or is it just me?! :o )

Also, make sure to flick it open, once. Its suggested by CRK that you do, after reassembling the knife... .

Did you oil or grease the lock up area? If it is oiled it may stick. Clean off the area and try it. Also as Akubra said, you should flick it after you put it together to set everything.

I took apart everything again and cleaned the lock bar around the ceramic ball and the plated triangle, then reassembled again and finally the little flick done like the video shows. It seems to work better now, it doesn't stick like before but if I open the blade faster than normal still is quite stiff to unlock, maybe it's me never trying before a faster opening but I guess it would be very difficult to unlock the blade to someone with not strong enaugh hands.
I'll keep trying and report any news. These knives have all the pieces engaged like a timepiece machinery!

Thanks guys for the suggestions  :D

Since it is just two weeks old, it may just take some more time to break in and smooth out everything. I would try cycling it like crazy and every couple days, clean and relube. This newest Large Classic of mine, took a month really before everything felt "right", the way a Sebenza should feel. Best wishes for a smooth lockbar unlock!

make sure you are not pressing down on the pocket clip when you try and open the blade. I reead a post somewhere on the forums that explains this, but i found that was my problem to.

Thanks for the replies CRKfan and clone7. This is a bit strange because this issue started right after the first disassembling of the knife, it wasn't like that before, once the blade is open and locked if I push the locking bar with my index finger doing the unlocking action it makes a little noise when the lockbar gets separated from the blade, the blade opening is buttery smooth, this means the lockbar does not give an exessive presure to the blade, the problem I think is the contact between the plated end of the bar and the blade. I tried oiling this contact, clean it totally dry, graphite powder, thick grease like sae10 and it's always the same. I have a very temperamental sebbie ;)
Like CRKfan said maybe is a matter of time.
