I'm pretty new to the higher end knives. But since I've joined I've pretty much decided that I want a Bob Dozier Folding hunter and a Sebenza.

So my question is:
Can someone please explain to me what the difference is between a Regular and a Classic Sebenza? I've seen several references to both but still haven't figured out the difference.

With pics if possible :D

Thanks

The difference between the two are the shape of the handle and the shape of the blade. If you go to this page and look at the knives in post 395 you can see the difference. Happy shopping...

These are the best pics I could find quickly of my knives. The two with wood inlays are Classics and the one at the back is a regular. The main difference is that the classic has the thumb cut out to allow easier access for unlocking the knife. The blade shape is slightly different between the two.

Here is another view showing the two styles

Picture of the back for you to see.

The regular style is now discontinued but you might still be able to find one if you look for CRK dealers online.

I don't think one is necessarily better than the other, it simply comes down to personal preference.

Hope this helps. :)

With the information provided above, if you go through the photos in the sticky thread at the top of this forum, you should be able to get a good idea of the difference.

There have also been a few other threads dealing with the differences.

btw--neither knife will be around for long. Both are discontinued and a new one is replacing them.

Oh yes, that's right.

That's why I rushed out and bought my second classic sebbie to put away for a rainy day :D

I can honestly say that no other folder feels as good in my hand when using it. Some come close, but the sebbie is it for me.
