Hey guys,

So i recently, bought a very used sebenza, but i got it for a awesome price so i couldnt resist...

the main problem with it is two small spots on the blade...

as seen here:

They dont show up in certain angles almost like they not even there, the pic may make them look much worse then they are...

Now my question,

Is there anything i can do to remove this, or is sending the blade into the spa my only option? I would really prefer to do it my self but i dont want to screw it all up...other than that, the blade is in awesome condition!

Also its got a bit of a sticky lockbar...any ways to fix that?

Thanks for your help!

In my experience, when it starts to develop the sticky lockbar syndrome, I always just send it in for a quick refurb. I have sent mine in before for this reason, and none of the home remedies seemed to work. Some people take pencils and scribble on the lockbar surface to put the graphite on there, making it slick, but a Seb shouldnt have that problem in the first place....

As for the pitting on the blade, if its not as simple as a dirty spot, but actual pitting, then you are SOL unless you have them retumble the blade.... It might not even come out if its deeper than a superficial mark.

I could live with the pitted blade, especially if you plan on using the Benz (which I encourage). Your best bet though is to give CRK a quick call, you might even end up with Chris on the line (it happened to me once, and I was dumbfounded......).

Cheers!

A day at the spa will go a long way and probably better than any home remedies.

Send it in and get it retumbled. However I have had great luck removing rust and cleaning most pits with some Barkeepers Friend.
