First let me start off by saying I am relatively new to BF so if Ive made an etiquette or formatting error please let me know and I will do my best to correct it.

Ok so, recently I purchased a Large Sebenza 21 with Micarta inlays. The birthday is August 2011 and the stamps are A11. The previous owner barely used the knife, there were maybe 2 or 3 snail trails. When I tighten the knife all the way down it becomes almost too stiff to open, I contacted CRK and Alicia advised to back the screw out 1/8 turn to loosen it up. She said that there is a break in period but they would send a pivot screw just in case. Well, the pivot screw arrived and it does not fit. The threads on the knife are slightly but noticeably larger than the screw they sent, the overall diameter (of the new screw) is smaller as well. Does CRK use different screws? Could they have sent a small 21 screw instead?

Do you have a pic of the knife?
Screws should fit from knife to knife almost regardless of year. The tolerances on those are held very tight...but a pic may help determine what the problem is if you have them side by side with the new and old.

Welcome to BF!

Interesting..Do you have pics of the heads and the rest of the knife?
I don't remember a hardware change, but would have to check the small sebenza I have at home to be sure they are the same size.
