Apologies in advance if this has been beaten to death,I searched and couldn't find much discussion...Recently I aquired my first Sebenza-An African Blackwood small Classic. It was brought to my attention that some folks like to turn the screws around because they prefer the look of the screws inverted so that the "domes" are all on the "finished" or non clip side of the knife. This leaves the hex-heads on the clip side, matching the clip screw which is constant. After looking at as many pictures as I could find ,it seems that some change them, some don't.I'm left with a sense that if it came from the factory that way, that's how it's supposed to be,but I like the look of the screw heads all matching.

Love my new Sebbie BTW.:)

When I turn mine around, it doesn't always look right. I can't say why. Maybe you should change them to the shiny side up to show you "graduated" to a really good knife, like a university grad changes the tassle over when they receive his/her diploma:) ;) !

Chris puts the screws on for a reason. There's not one tiny detail on A CRK knife that hasn't been added for a reason. I find that the screws in the original position make for easier dissasembly. I prefer to keep my Sebbies the way Chris intended them.

I prefer them in the orginal position too. All my knives have been like that so if I change them now it will feel like the knife is backward or inside out. Strange way to think I know.

I like mine reversed. I think it looks neater with all the 'working' on the reverse side.

I have reverse screws on my large sebenza
it looks more logic to me,
but I supose that it is diferent form person to person,
and I don`t think that there is any diference than cosmetical,
so main question is what do you like more :)

I think that screws are made that way to show that they are srews (not pins) instantly.

I like mine reversed ;)

I reverse mine as well. I like the heads to be on the working side, the mechanical side, and the domes to be on the pretty side.

It doesn't make a whit of difference to me which way the screws face. I leave 'em where they are. :)

Reverse em' if ya got em ;)

As for taking the knife apart and putting it back together, if you do the
sandwich routine with the washers, it's not a problem at all.

The only difference in reassembly is which side you start with - if you are doing the proper method, that is.

Actually you can reverse the screws without taking the knife apart at all. Just do them one at a time with the knife closed.
;)
