I've decided I must have a sheath for my large reg Sebenza. Is the current CRK offering the best way to go, or are there some other makers out there who have some more interesting products? I like that the CRK sheath also works for the small, and I like the full coverage, but was wondering if it might be a little bulky. The sheath that came with my Nyala seems pretty perfect to me, so I should probably go with the CRK offering--what do you guys think?

It's a great sheath! Not too bulky, but must be worn vertically as you need a super slim belt to carry horizontally.

Where do you find such a lovely piece of leather :eek:work like that. They're gorgeous:thumbup:

Those actually look pretty easy to make. The embossing tools are standard fare, but the stitching looks a bit nicer than mine. I have all the stuff to make those. Maybe I'll give it a shot for my knife.

Thanks for posting those pics. :)

When I use a flap cover sheath I use the older style CRK sebenza sheath, I also have a couple of pancake sheaths made by Lifter's leather. That is really the only way I carry a sebenza with the exception of back pocket from time to time.

Paul Long(sheathmaker) is one of(if not) the best amongst the sheathmakers out there. Great guy and amazing work. Or lifters leather

+1. Really nice guy, fantastic sheaths and excellent service.

There are some sheaths on Ebay which are sold out of Canada for about $65. I have one and it works very well.

I use the old style sheath. Never handled the new one but the old ones are very sturdy and overbuilt

I'd recommend making your own, it's very satisfying, this one took about an hour, I hafta post a recent pic as it has pocket worn nicely and is form fitting. The nice thing, I can hang it from my neck of a piece of ball chain or para cord.

Nuthin' against CRK sheaths, I just don't have the $50 for a sheath so necessity is the mother of invention, I had the leather, the thread and needle the rest is history.

Granted its not the best lookin' sheath but it's my first attempt and I made it. :)

That's cool man. I've made sheaths for my flashlights and a multitool. Also done a couple of fixed blade sheaths.

I wish that I had more time to monkey around. I think that I could come up with something decent.
