i want to buy a sebbie, but , of course, which one ?
i didn't find any relevant comparision pics, so if anybody has any of those sebbies next to something more common like a delica or buck 110, or ..?
please post them
from what i understand the small sebbie is more or less in size as is a delica/buck112, and the large - endura/buck110, a little less, well
i like the small, but i also want to get one that is capable enough, and also easy to carry IWB
and from what i figure, the small sebenza would be a bit more towards legal carry in most places
i want the knife for regular use, not abuse, i would like to use it even in slicing those tomatos for dinner...
any ideas, pics, recomandations ?
thanks alot

well, I EDC'ed a small classic for 2 straight years. And have been carrying a large classic for the last 3 days. To me, the small was definatley more than enough blade for everyday things, but every now and then (rarely) I would come across something where I wished my blade was longer. I sold the small seb due to hard times, and carried an old benchmade 710 for about 6 months. I have to say, the Large sebenza is more comfortable in the pocket than the 710. The 710 is a little rough on the back of your hand. The large seb and BM710 are basically the same size all around (+or- .25" long X +or- 1mm thick). I have large hands (I can stretch 1.5 octaves on a piano) and the small sebenza was always comfortable and never felt dainty. The large is larger than I expected but am happy I got it over the small.

As far as legality, the small fits in the "under 3 inch blade" category, and the large fits the "under 4 inch blade" category. Both will be considered weapons by your typical paranoid cops, so I wouldnt worry about legality.

If and when you use the knife in public, the small would obviously be less of a "threat". Especially if you get one with fancy wood inlay. When people see wood on a knife, for some reason they feel safe.:jerkit:

Here is large Sebenza next to a Spyderco Military and a Benchmade 14205

It's smaller than the millie overall. A little easier on the pockets too. My 2 favorites for EDC/SD. The Millie is a great knife imo but it's no Sebenza.

ive been using the millie as edc for some time now, rotating with smaller ones,it is great, cuts really good, it has a bit too long handle for my taste regarding iwb carry, and i want to get a sebenza , as it looks just like how i want my knife to look :D
doesnt seem that big either, that large sebenza..

I don't think you will regret the Sebenza. It took me a while to take the plunge. IMO the best in it's class.
My only dislikes about the Millie are the tip down carry (but I can live with that) and the fact that when you open it, it is loud. Other than that it's great.
Post some pics, if you will, when you get it.

hey guys, thanks again for the photos
i think il get the small one, so i can always have it with me :D
the problem is that i live in europe, so the stores here, online, have some prices that you wouldnt believe...like in dollars, 640 $ for a small regular "vanilla" sebenza, and more
i wil get one though, maybe order it from chrissreeve site, maybe from US ebay sellers, i dont know, have to do some searching
thanks again, and i wil post pictures

I also live in Europe (The Netherlands) and it's better to buy it in USA, specially with current $-status :)
I carry a Large Classic Sebbie and I like it alot. I combine edc it with a Strider SnG. I prefer the SnG because of its lower weight.
But for what you are looking for I think the Small Classic Sebenza would be perfekt.

Here is a picture of the Large, Small Seb and the Mnandi side by side. If you know Striders; then the Small Seb is approx the same size as their PT.

I just got a sebbie in a trade, about 2 weeks ago. I was going to sell it, because I thought it was just too expensive to carry. But, now I carry it everywhere, and my Benchmade (william-henry axis lock) is stored in my travel bag. I have the small version, and am getting more and more attached to it. I am certain you will love this knife. My
benchmade was a 3 7/8, and this little sebbie is just under 3, but I like the smaller knife, more and more every day!

from what i see the differences in size are not that big, but the small one seems to be more appropiate for EDC, and i think both knives are very strong
first i was thinking that the small sebbie is more like a keychain knife, but it sure seems like a tough "little" guy, just as tough as his slightly big brother, just that is a tad smaller :D

The more you carry a big one the smaller is gets:D.

RNST:

That is a very nice pic.
