Sebenza Thumb Lug Question

I have single lugs on both of mine. While I'd keep a Seb if it had double lugs, it's not something I have to have. You can't put the clip on the other side, so, for me, having a lug on the other side is needless. Just my opinion, of course.

I can close most liner or framelocks right or left handed. If I were on a job where I laid the knife down and picked it up a lot, I might like total open & close ambidexterity, but it isn't a big deal for me.

Double for me. Although I don't often open my knives with my left hand I still like to have the capability.

I was actually just wishing my small Sebbie had double lugs last night. I was trying to open it left handed (holding something else in my right hand) and it was a pain. I may even send the knife back to the shop to have a double-lug installed.

I vote double.

I prefer double, as I am very ambidextrous.

So am I, but long ago I started carrying 2-3 knives on me, having at least one that's accessable with my "other" hand (Usually a clipped folder, a slippy, & a small FB).

Admittedly, both of my Sebs (Lg. & small) are classic models, so the other lug would be difficult to use with my oversized thumbs, lol.

I have a single stud on mine, but I can open it easily with my left hand too.

When using the left hand, I hold the knife near the pivot and use my forefinger on the stud.

My last seb (EDC for 5yrs) had double lugs... I liked it, but found that the added (clipside) lug snagged on the edge of my pocket, prematurely deploying the blade from time to time... Personally, I would not pay for the added lug, but if I got one used for a god price I would not avid it either...

gee I wish I could get mine to do that, if I could make it do it consistently it woud be a 'waved' sebbie!

I prefer double on mine as I often open and close with my off hand. For me, one down side of double on a sebbie is that the clip side thumbstud sometimes catches the pocket on light slacks and shorts. Of course YMMV.
