The thumb stud on my small classic Sebenza, just doesnt fit my thumb, are there after market studs, or does Chris make any different ones?

Don't use the top of the thumbstud. Push the side of the thumbstud forward and not sideways, and it will work like a charm.

I got several blisters from pushing the thumbstud.

But pretty soon I learned that using the nail to push/slide/lift the stud in a sweeping blade motion to open/close the blade helps a lot. In this case, the flesh of the tip of the thumb is right against the blade and no part of the thumb shoud be on the pinnacle of the stud.

Also, disassembling the seb and then reassemble also make the new seb open /close smoother.

Sometimes, a new thumbstud can feel sharp. Take a ceramic rod, like a white Sharpmaker rod, and buff it gently. This will take the edge off it.

Somewhere in this section of the forum is a photo of my Sebenza with the thumb stud cut down .Easy to do and it now no longer catches on things in my pocket and opens and it's easier on the thumb !
