Ive had a bunch of sebenza over the years, but now my wife want to buy me either. Can someone use a car analogy, to compair a sebenza to an elishewitz. Im new to the allen elishewitz world. Is a sebenza ,strider, hinderer, elishewitz, basicly all on the same level? Thanks

Please dont take it wrong but only you can answer that once you experience those brands for yourself. I currently own all And honestly, each fills a different role. They are all fantastic but really comes down to what characteristics you like in a knife. Having said that though, let me say that the elishewitz is simply amazing and i would encourage you to get one if you have the chance.

Don't need a car analogy. One is a midtech the other is a custom. If you've owned Sebenzas in the past, you would already know that? The Hinderer, Strider, CRK are all midtechs, not customs. You can Buy a Strider and Hinder custom, but they will cost you around $1K+ at least. No they are not on the same level.

Thanks fellas, thats what i was looking for. Now i understand the midtech vs custom. The elishewitz will be my first custom, im very excited.

Be warned, its the top of a slippery slope, at the bottom of which lies a vast pit into which all your money will disappear!

Yes, you may not :eek:disappear but all your money def will , I own CRK's but between those I'd go custom if given the chance

Its all personal preference, custom knives are made of better materials, hand made, hand ground they ussually look nicer but that does not mean they are performing better.Same goes for tolerances, fit and finish, steel they use for blade etc...All Iam saying is that after owning sebenza and couple of custom knives, sebenza beats lots of those in any category. My 2 cents.:)
