If you could pick one between these two knives which would it be and why?

Both is not an answer. I know that they are very different knives. If you won a knife and you could pick either a seb. or an AR, but not both, which would it be!

Man, those are two pretty wildly different knives.

What do you need it for? What kind of use will it get?

They're both great but sooo different.

To answer your question, though - the AR.

If I had to pick. . .hhhmmmmmmmmm. . .let's see. . . .

Both ! ! !

Like baraqyal stated, both are superb knives but both have different uses. You need to hold/use both to see what is meant by "both are great but sooo different !"

I'm with Gig One on this..BOTH!! The AR is perfect when you need a heavy duty knife. But I sure would rather use my Sebenza in the kitchen than my Strider. Ok, ok, if you wanted to fudge a little, buy a Sebenza with a flat ground blade. (they're out there ifin' you know where to look:D )

I don't like Sebenzas. And I've never held an AR before.
But I'm snatching up one of the next available S30V ARs, so I choose the AR.

I would have to choose the Sebenza. It is much more people friendly. Plus it just looks classy! It comes standard with S30V as well.

Here lately I have been pretty abusive to knives in general so, I would opt for the AR at the expense of scaring sheeple at work and being searched at work (it's amazing what people assume when you wear an NRA baseball cap :( ).

Sebenza's are certainly made well, but for general use and abuse as well as above and beyond duty (I'm still in the military), then the AR has got my vote. One AR in the left pocket, one GB in the right pocket, that's the ticket.

Until Jerry get's HIS folder out the door...

Both great knives, and I own one of each. I would say AR hands down simply because it is much more versatile. There's very little that you could do with a small knife that you couldn't do with a big knife, but try doing a large task with a small knife....;) Besides, have you HEARD the sound of an AR opening?
