Hello everyone,
I am sure this has been discussed before, but being new here I was wondering if anyone here owns a Strider PT and how does it compare to
the Sebenza. I have a Stars and Strips small Sebenza and I think it is
great, but I dont carry it. I carry a Microtech mini SOCOM most of the
time and I like the Micros, but their pocket clip sucks because of the two
I own, both pocket clip screws have striped out of the frame !! I was thinking
of trading the Sebenza for a Strider PT, but what do you guys think ?

Thanks,
Ram

P.S. I posted this on the Chris Reeve forum, but wanted a greater audience
mix.

These knives are often compared due to their similar price and size, but their similarities end there. Its like comparing apples to oranges.... Sebbie is a great gentlemen folder, fit and finish is top notch. The Strider PT is a rugged little knife but not very sheepel friendly. If you want a dressy knife then the Sebbie fits the bill. If you are after a tough little knife you want to be able to take whatever punishment you toss at it then the Strider is a great choice. I own both and use the Sebbie when I have to wear a suit or need a sheepel friendly knife. The PT I use as a 2nd (smaller) EDC that I use when a larger SMF/XL is not needed. Both are great knives just have to pick what one fits your lifestyle more, or buy and use both like I do.

Had both , decided the PT felt better in the hand , sold the Seb , kept the PT , dont get me wrong , I love the Sebby , I just preferred the grip of the PT more. Either way you can't go wrong , as they are both solid built knives.
I work in an office environment , and my PT does not spook anyone. I have the blasted blade and not the striped blade.

Thanks everyone,
I know I have been around for 3 years, but my main passion are
mechanical watches followed by knives. I really havent put the effort
into knives as I have into watches, so I consider myself a novice. I think
with all the input I have received, I am going to keep my Seb and trade
into an SNG or PT. I work in an office eviro also, so the knife is mostly
for my inner Rambo:o

Thanks for all the input,
Ram

I would get a SnG or SMF, but if you like the smaller blades then he PT is a solid choice.

Get both. Carry the Sebenza while at the office. Carry the PT on weekends. After a few months you'll learn to love them both.

I will definitly keep an eye out for one on the sale page, but I am always
a day late and dollar short !!! just my luck. I like the PT with tiger stripes
and flamed TI ! Thanks again for all the great input !!
