So CRK has great warranty that's a known fact. They say the knife is guaranteed for life.

However, if you abuse the knife the warranty will be voided.

So my question is, how do they know if a knife has been abused and thus will have the warranty voided? I mean what if the guy had the knife for a long time, the steel was prone to chipping, or blade play occured through normal use?

With as many years experience as they have, I imagine it's fairly clear when something is worn, verses something is abused.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you are a knife abuser.

Even if the knife is abused they will repair for a fair price.

Blaze, i must ask...did you run this one thru the washer also ? :)

The fact that a rule is in place does not mean it will be enforced, or even that it necessarily can be enforced in all conceivable circumstances. It just means that there is a rule in place.

If you run your car up to 85 on the highway, you don't magically appear in traffic court. If a cop sees you, and he feels like running you down, and he catches you, and you can't charm him into a warning... then you get a ticket. Then maybe you have to go to court. Doesn't necessarily mean the speed limit should be 86.

Absolutely.

It's simple. Anything involving using a sledge hammer or similar device
to assist the knife to cut through something is abuse.

Pretty much everything else is covered.

No haha, that would be the ultimate pain to experience with expensive knives. :o
