Hello, Well that could be any of them because they all have such exacting tolerances and are made so well.

But on going thru the collection I found that I am in very short supply in certain types and models of CRK folders. One that came to mind are the old style decorated models and the "P" or "H" models.
The others are a small damascus woody. A regular small woody. Another one that has not come out yet is the small classic wood inlay.
Of course what collection is complete without one or two gold coin sebenzas, (perhaps the whole set).
Then there are those pesky but really cool small gents little pocket knifes....I need a few more of those. Then there are those large decorated classics......and those with the star saphire inlays.... WOW!!!! Nice!!!

Anyway just dreamin here.............:)

Just recently went to a huge knife show here in Michigan and saw perhaps 25 different Sebbie's with different patterns. The one I'm kicking myself for not buying was a flat ground large Sebenza, signed and dated on the blade by Chris himself. The guy only wanted $285 for it! Just didn't have money to spend at the time. Damn, should'a put it on the VISA. Oh, well!:(

I'd be interested in one of the new large Classic 2000's with wood inlay. My most recent purchase was from the custom shop. I got a small classic with silver contrast, pearl inlay, double thumb studs, and polished blade. Real nice!

That gold coin your talking about would be sweet, but too steep for my pocket book!

K-guy, I recently attended a Gun & Knife show in Mason mainly hoping to handle a Sebenza. Much to my dismay, the show was almost all Gun and no Knife, and the knives that were there were not exactly high quality.

Anyway, could you post here on the whereabouts of "good" knife shows in Michigan where I could handle a Sebenza and other quality folders.
Preferably, closer to Lansing, but anywhere in the general area of Lansing or Detroit etc. would be fine. Dates and/or a website with more information would be appreciated too:).

Maybe some other Michiganders could benefit from your post as well:).

Thanks,

Bucky

Well. The most recent one and by far the best show is the Wolverine collectors club annual knife show. Unfortunataly you missed it by a week. It was last weekend at the Novi Expo Center, in Novi. A relative short drive for you. I heard about another strictly knife show this month but not sure where in the state it is. As soon as I find out, I'll drop you an email Bucky.

My other suggestion is to attend some of the gun and knife shows in your area. Just about every other month there is one either in Lansing or in Grand Rapids. The Grand Rapids show is pretty good and there are quite a few custom knife dealers; some who sell Sebenza's.
Check out www.migunshows.com. The next Lansing/Mason show is February 26,26 and 27th.

Hope some of this helps...

A nice "P" Decorated would be nice, without a clip of course...

I just wish I could have them all, but there are just too many. And those damascus Mnandi's! Stainless, yet.

Large woodie, Large Classic with a carbon fiber inlay (I know they do't exist) Canada gold coin editon, etc., etc.

Large Classic with wood inlay is the one I would like to get next. Have a couple of the large Classics in leather, a brown which has been my edc since the first week of December, and a blue which still resides in the box, but not for long.

Was thinking the other day that I would love to see a Sebenza with a 4" blade from 5/32" stock coupled with a bit thicker titanium handle slabs. Why, you ask.......................well I'm not sure, but those specs sure do appeal to me:D With an inlay of course!

Thanks K-guy. The Gun & Knife show that you describe located at that website, is in fact the one I attended. There really were not any knives there, and like I said, certainly no higher end knives. I didn't see one Benchmade or Chris Reeve knife. Of the very few knives that were on display, most were lower end or knockoff knives. Obviously, I cannot speak to the quality and/or content of the rest of the sites that that Gun & Knife show travel to, but if the same vendors travel to every site, I would recommend knife enthusiasts stay away from those shows as the "Knife" show part of the advertisement is not very truthful.

I actually attended that Gun & Knife show last weekend, had I known about the one in Novi, I would have been there for sure - oh well. Any further information about future shows would be appreciated, either posted here or emailed to me.

Hello, Upon further examination of my collection .....its my guesstimate that I am about 40 variations short of a reasonably close representation of the CRK folders!!!!!! Wow!!!! I had better start saving now .......gee whiz!!! I think there are about 80+ variations and if you wanted to break them down by type of wood and type of damascus and type of inlay then it goes much higher yet. :D

Hello, Lets see .....10 types of wood; 2 types of sebenzas; 2 sizes, 1 umfmann size; 1 mnandi size; 6 types of damascus patterns; 3 types of damascus plain, blued or gold damascus; 3 types of steel; 6 cabochens......mmmmnnnnhhhh??? 5 gold coin patterns

So its 10 X 2 X 2 X 6 X 3 X 3 X 6 For sebenzas only equals = 12960 + an unlimited amount of orginal one of a kind art + gold coin ones

For the small knifes 1 x 1 x 6 x 10 x 3 x 6 = 1080
Plus the original artwork forms equals an infintecimal amount of forms that could be made or do already exist WHOA !!!!!!What a monster for collectors

 :D :D
