hey guys and girls, I was wondering how many of you older sebenza users like to flip the pins around. I personally don't like the new pins, I think the older ones give a better look along with more options. I wanted to post pictures for people that have not experienced the older pins. all opinions are welcomed.

I can't say I don't like the new double hex head screws but I do like the old ones. I also prefer the look of the flipped the scews, I even did it on the single screw on my Umnumzaan. :p

While I do like the looks of the older screws, I think the newer screws function better and give Sebenza a more symmetric look.
If I have to choose, I'd go with the newer screws.

I like the symmetry of the new ones, too.

First thing I do with a new one is flip the screws.

I think it looks odd and out of place flipped in the wrong direction. Especially on a plain Sebenza.

This thread just goes to show that maybe they should have been left the way they were so the owner could decide the way they liked them best. Now for those of us that like the solid pin on the front do not have that option.

I've been a flipper in the past, but I'm changing to the new style as I think it looks better.

Flipper on my users............

My safe queens stay as the maker intended them to stay

Thought I was the only one who did that. But then I took 600 grit cloth to the pins on my main used and muted the shine a bit.

It's hard to beat a bit of uniformity. :)

New screws just make it symmetrically hideous. Much prefer the old screws. Still dont understand why they changed it even though I understand the functional concept behind it. I dont think the need will ever arise to make use of both hex slots on either side. My old sebenza had a screw that was loose and wouldnt screw in properly so all I had to was put pressure on the flat side of the screw with my finger and was able to screw it in easily.

I was told they changed the pins because the older pins was ordered through a outside source. they started making themin housee and this was the only way it was possible.

thieveslikeus that is one beautiful regular sebenza with drama steel. if you ever decided to sell I get first dibs
