I've been eyeing the wood inlay Sebenzas lately but have not had the opportunity to handle any of them. Do all of the wood inlays feel the same? Are the all smooth or do some offer texture? Some of the inlays really look great (I especially like the Thuya and Spalted beech) but was wondering if there is any difference in feel or if they are just offer different aesthetics.

I have two box elder burl inlay sebenzas and they are mostly smooth. The large I have has two smooth inlays and one is mostly smooth but has just a little bit of texture towards one end. My small is completely smooth.

AFAIK, they all feel about the same. Some woods are denser and/or more porous than others, but I don't notice a difference.

All my inlays are smooth. I now have quite a few of them ( all large ). They fill the hand more than a plain/CGG/UG does. While some have more grain texture than others, they are for the most part all smooth. I have several Bocote, Box Elder among others.

I have had many different types of wood inlays and, like other stated, they all are smooth.
