Has anyone here had any issues with rust spots or oxidation with their polished blade Sebenza?

I saw the CRK shop video and Chris Reeve states that he's designed these knives to be ok in humid and tropical climates.

If a Sebenza ever developed rust spots or discoloration, would that be something covered under the CRK Lifetime warranty?

I have used my sebenza in salt water and put it away in a wet pocket for a day with no issues......not sure what would happen long term, but in general its not a worry.

Polished blades are more resistant to rust than other types of finishes, there is less space for the rust to take hold. I have never had an issue with any of my sebenzas spotting, but I dry off the blade after I use it. S30 and 35 and not super prone to rust from my experience

I doubt they would cover rust under their warranty. That is something that a owner can easily prevent with proper care. The knife should not be rust prone. If you get a spot of light rust it can easily be removed with an eraser or flitz polish.

I have a three yo polished blade S35V, in that time it has developed one tiny dark spot on the polished portion of the blade. It is not removable with Flitz, so I believe it's a tiny shallow pit. CRK knives are made with stainLESS steel, not stainNEVER steel.

Not polished, but I had a SW BG42 blade that had light oxidation on it. This came from the second hand person I bought it from. Haven't heard any issues with S30 or 35.

Mine spends half its life smeared with apple juice nevrr had any marks that wouldnt wipe off with wsrm soapy watrr or oil

I have a damascus Seb I've been using for about a month now and it's been fine, no rust but then it's stainless. I don't think it's a serious issue with CRK.

Unless it's a Strider, cause in that case, it'll rust from being in your pocket for a day...
