So are you implying that Sebenza frame locks are better than all liner locks, but CS Voyager's mid-lock lockbacks are even stronger than Sebenza's frame locks?

This is only a troll.

Had this been an actual post, it would have been followed by interesting posts containing thoughts and opinions backed up with facts.

This concludes our test of the emergency troll alert system.

Stompy you are right. That is what I was saying.

Okay, usually I refrain from posting when it deals with politics or religion esp cults(sebenza followers qualify j/k

). In all seriousness though I find it hard to believe anyone could seriously even compare the two.
I have handled both, and while I am not a folder fan, the Sebenza seems to be the better/stronger/quality knife than the Cold Steel of any flavor.
I believe this is a bogus attempt at starting a heated controversy so let's just ignore it.

This is not a Grich or a Troll, this is a BLASPHEMER! Do you know where you are and who you're talking to? At this Forum even people who have never seen a Sebenza will defend it to death.

Beware Oh King! Someone is going to crown you, my only hope is that you're wearing Asbestos Underware.

Let the FLAMES BEGIN!

If you are going to start a stupid thread like this grinch you could have at least picked a better knife then a zytel handled CS to compare against a sebenza.

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!

Just my own opinions. Like most of the other thousands on this board actually give data to back up claims. Yeah right.

Which means basically that you have.....NONE right?
Come now this is going to end the same way all the others do unless you can quantify your claims.

"Welcome to Jeopardy, our next topic is Forum Trolling...King Grinch, your selection of questions..."

"Uh, yeah, Alex, I'd like `What Are Opinions Like?' for $200 please..."

"Okay, King Grinch, your question is, `According to the common saying, what are opinions like?"

Now, I don't know what the point of this initial post was, but I didn't see any supporting argument, or expanded ideas, simply a single inflammatory statement, backed my...nothing. Why am I not too surprised?

Hello,

I think the SEBENZA has spoken for itself time and time again. If the guy wants to carry a Inferior Folder compared to the Sebenza then let him,,,,just leaves one more SEBENZA out there to find a home with somone who appreciates fine Folders.

Jake, I bet you would, but I know you actually do wear Asbestos undies, and enjoy the itching

You were one of the original "Dead End Kids" weren't you?

Concerning the large CS lockbacks vs the Sebenza in terms of direct lock strength, I seem to recall Sal Glesser saying that both would pass Spyderco's high limit of 450 in.lbs . I don't recall him stating which one was stronger but both failed before the Rolling lock did.

I hope we're not going to muddy the waters of this conversation with Facts and actual Tests, we're not talking about your average knife here, but one of Legend!
Let's see we have Excaliber, the Sandbar Bowie and SEBENZA, the only one I might add that actually exists.

I just can't get enough threads that begin and end with SEBENZA, the only knife that ever was or will ever be!
rolleyes.gif

What, they don't exist....? Does this mean the fabled Sebenza is just another myth?
rolleyes.gif

Seriously, great knife(for a folder), I agree with Allen Blade, it is just one more good knife for someone who appreciates quality.

I woulndn't be too surprised if the Cold Steel Voyagers had a stronger lock than the Sebenza's Integral lock. If Cliff is correct and the Voyager tested over 450lb, chances are very good that it beat out the sebenza (I believe the sebenza tested somewhere in the 400's). The Military's lock also tested stronger than the sebenza's. Lock reliability is another issue however, as is quality.

You guys sure did pounce on King here.

The "personality stuff" here is more good humored than some other "personality stuff" threads I've seen around here, so let's quit while we're ahead.
