I am not new to quality knives but I am new to CRK. I finally jumped in and bought a Small Classic Sebenza and love it. Extreme quality = Extreme value.
Anyway I plan on using it as an EDC. It looks and feels like it can take quite a bit of use without a problem. From looking at all the photos of Sebenzas on this forum they all look like they never get used. Does anybody else "use" their Sebenzas everday?
Thanks in advance.

Oh, heck yes. All my Sebenzas get used. I'm carrying my large graphic model right now. Plus a Mnandi. ;)

Yes, it is my one and only EDC. There's no reason to be afraid to use it. Afterall, it is one of the toughest knives out there.

Although I occasionally carry other knives, I EDC a Sebenza 95% of the time.

The only time I don't have my sebenza on me is as follows:

- Getting on a plane or going to the court house (I'm not allowed).
- Dressed up in a suit or tux or whatever (I have a Mnandi for that).
- Going hiking. (I have a Mountaineer II for that).

In other words, you simply don't need to be afraid to EDC CRKs. Otherwise, why buy them? :D

I always carry my small micarta Sebenza. I used to keep it in a rotation with some other knives, but lately I've carried it exclusively. It's going to take a pretty amazing knife to replace it.

For me, it's simply too much money to not use it. I only have two knives of this price range, and both are in pocket, wherever I go.

I'm keeping my Large Classic Seb with creme mammoth ivory inlay in the gun safe, but my Large Regular Plain Seb is in my EDC rotation. I am sure at some point in time the Large Classic ivory inlay will see some EDC on a limited basis...

I EDC the small plain. I take out the box elder burl inlay every once in a while to go "oooh, pretty". ;)

I think a lot of people who like Sebenzas do get one or more 'fancy' ones that they see more as 'safe queens' while carrying a more 'plain' version. And there are those that carry the fancy ones too. I doubt you would find many that own Sebbies and not carry any of them.

my small regular has been my edc for the past 6 months and it shows. Lots of scratches on the clip, a few on the handle, etc. It is well used and well loved.

I call BS on the Stalin quote. Too easy. And when I finally get a Sebenza, it will be to carry and cut things with.

I carry my small regular everyday everywhere, it's been in the mud, in salt water, cleaning fish..etc.; Sebenzas are like the Rolex of the knifes. Are made with the best materials and also with the closest tolerances to last many years of daily use.
