I have just finished taking all 3 of my sebenza's apart and have some interesting findings:

On my large regular with S30V, the "S' is stamped on the non-thumb stud of the blade and on my small classic snakewood inlay the "S" is on the thumstud side. This I find interesting as the manufacturing tolerances on these knives is so precise but yet the "S" is on 2 different sides on 2 different knives !!

I returned all the screws to the factory position and the small classic is so tight I could barely open the knife. Turned screws around and voila !!

On my large reg the blade shape is somewhat different to others I have seen, it is very subtly but along the spine of the knife, it seems to drop into the point at a visible angle where others I have seen have been a more rounded drop !!

Like I said, these sebenzas are becoming an obsession, lucky I am saving money for a new house and I have all the time in the world as I don't want to go out and spend ££ !!

:D

not quite as cool as they "once" were, huh?

I wish i knew what all the hype was about, myself?!

:D

I know what you mean, I have 4 on order. I think that the reason that your knife was hard to open had nothing to do with which side the heads were on. A very slight mistake on reassembly is most likely the culprit. The Sebenza has to be put back together just right or it won't work properly. Believe me, I've pulled out more than a few hairs learning the assembly/disassembly routine. Once you get the routine down it's not so bad.

4 on order??
What happens if you get the call saying their all ready at the same time? Your checkbook might go... :barf:

:D

I just sold a Sebenza to finance getting the one new one I have on order. In the interim, I've bought and sold a few other knives while waiting for the Seb to show up. Helps make the time pass quicker.
