I only break down and clean and lube my Seb twice a year but when I do I am always left in awe at how perfectly the damn thing fits together again. It's almost as if it locks up better when u put it back together!

It's so incredibly smooth and functionally is as perfect as the day I got it. Unbelievable precision...truly amazes me...

A lot of my other folders will eventually show signs of lock wear/fatigue and blade play is usually just a matter of time but the Seb just refuses to give in.

Sebenzas greatest attribute has to be longevity.

While I'm still less than totally impressed with some of its' qualities(at the end of the day, it just might not be for me), it is still like new in terms of tightness. I've been carrying mine every day for over a year and a half now.

Hi,
To be completely honest, I was not real impressed with it. I carried mine for a week or two and sold it for what I bought it for. Don't get me wrong, it's a damn good knife. However, I can buy several knives for the price and they will each do the job for me.

Not to knock them, to be sure. Just not for me.

Take care,
Brett

I'm continually in awe of how perfect my small Seb is for me. I love this knife. I've been carrying it every day for a year now and it still functions perfectly (even though it looks pretty beat up...I stopped being nice to it after about the third week :)) The longevity is great, but my favorite thing is the pocket clip. No other knife has a pocket clip with that secondary little bump in it and that just makes it grip so nice and tightly to my pocket I always feel secure carrying it clipped. I love the pocket clip, much better then any other I've ever used (which is a lot!).

I've had plenty of customs from the likes of Mayo, Carson, Lambert, Smith, Cook, Williams, Dozier, Terzuola, Tighe, Hinderer and plenty more. The Sebenza is my favorite for an actual user knife.

Oooohhh....actually, I agree about the pocket clip. I thought that was spot on. It held in my pocket so nicely.

THanks for reminding me of that!

Brett

For me, if I have to choose one thing, it's the pivot bushing.

The "one-way, only-way" assembly is so pleasing to me as opposed to some of my other knives', "This pivot is too tight. This pivot is too loose. This pivot is just right." -Until it isn't anymore and you have to adjust it again.

Oh yes. Pivot bushing. That's the stuff.:cool: :D

Simplicity will always be a long lasting design. Look at the mouse trap. Thats what does it for me.

I've been interchangeably carrying both a standard small and a small inlaid classic for over a year now. Unlike any other knife I've ever purchased, the more I use them the more impressed I am with their design. The knife is an absolute minimalist classic. There is nothing there you don't need and everything there you do need.

That said, it is a folder and that is, in itself, a compromise but I don't think I've found anyone who has done it as well or better.

Sure, some people want a different look and feel than the Sebenza . . . their loss

The attribute that I like best about the Sebenza is the way I can take the knife from my pocket and open it without thinking about it. No other pocket knife I have comes out as easily as my Seb. I think it's the way the whole package is designed and not just a single attribute.
