Several months ago a knife dealer friend of mine gave me a good deal on a small Bradley Alias. I was curious about how it would compare to my small Classic Sebenza, so I carried it for a few weeks. I found it to be a better than average Benchmade. Not really in the same league with the Sebenza, but adequate for my everyday cutting needs. I continued to carry it for a while to reduce wear and tear on the Sebenzas.

A couple of months ago I was laid off. I decided to sort and categorize my "toys", in case I ended up having to sell some of them. I gathered them up from the various places in my house where my knives end up. All present and accounted for except the small Sebenza! I searched high and low, everywhere it might have been dropped and many places it could not. No sign of the little bugger. I finally gave up and figured I'd left it at my old workplace and someone made off with it.

So this morning I'm cleaning out a closet (one with no knife related objects in it). I lift a pile of clothes I had set aside to give Goodwill and there it is, looking up at me with it's one blue eye, as if to say, "Well, have you learned your lesson?" Yes, I have. Anyone want to buy a Bradley?

You know, some folks think the Sebenza owners are part of a cult....but after reading this thread I an clearly see the notion is totally unfounded.

We are not a cult! I carried my little Sebenza all day today after giving it a good strip-down cleaning and lubing. I fondled it and spoke quietly to it of my love but only because I respect it as a tool for cutting. We are not a cult!

Sebbies DO have feelings. I am glad you found your baby!!

Thank you for your kind words. My little Sebenza didn't mind sharing pocket time with clearly different Benchmades, Spydercos and the like but was put off by the wannabe Bradley. I'll not make that egregious mistake again!

I am glad that you can see the error of your ways! I know you won't be making THAT mistake again.

You would have to drink the Koolaid to understand LOL. Larry

I was at my local knife shop today and did a comparison, albeit quickly, between the small Bradley and the small Sebe. No contest!! The quality of the Sebe was hands down superior. Only problem was that I was there to look at the CR Green Beret. Ended up getting the GB instead of the small Sebe. I am waiting for them to get a full size Sebe in. Hopefully soon. BTW: What does one carry in the external pouch on the sheath of the GB?

I loves my sebenza. I did scratch it's blade though. I am very sorry but sebbie doesnt hold it against me at all! I had a sheath made for her with snakeskin for open belt carry. She really does like the attention!

Nice looking knife. Can't really read the card, what wood is that?

edit: Nevermind, after looking a bit more I can see that it is Curly Maple. Awesome looking knife.

thanks. yes it is the maple. I want another sebbie but cannot make a decision on the inlay, what wood, or non at all!. Maybe I need several? :)
