Sebenza's now shipping with different tool?

Hey guys,

just got a new sebenza 21, and with it I received a different looking tool than I am used to. I know they used to come with a silver WIHA tool but this one is dark grey, no wiha label, with the only lettering on the the as "5/64"

I purchased this knife new from KNifecenter. is this standard now? These don't seem as nice as the old ones. Has anyone else purchased a sebenza recently and received the different allen tool? I guess I'm just partial to the older chrome wiha tool that used to come with them....

Maybe they were out of the wiha tool. The knives birthday was mid october so it was shipped from crk literally less than 2 weeks ago.
 
I'll call CRK tomorrow and see why I got the different tool. Upon further inspection the tool actually seems pretty nice and fits the screws nicely.
 
The older hex wrenches are dark. Is it new, but just happen to be old stock....???? I do know the newer ones are silver as that's what came with my Bocote 21's.

I'm assuming that they just ran out of the wiha tools and had to use old stock or something.
 
Just spoke with CRK. Apparently the tool I received is in fact a WIHA tool. The new tools they are shipping out have a coating on them that almost matches the color of the titanium scales on the Sebenza. The birthdate on my knife was 10/15/14 so perhaps this is something brand new they are doing. I was really amazed at that birthdate actually. Normally when I purchase a CRK, the birthdate would be at least 2 months old, if not older. However, with this knife, the birthdate was less than 2 weeks old from the time it was made to when I had the knife in my hand. Also, I've had 3 other Sebenza's and this is the smoothest one I've ever had with 65% lock up. Makes me happy.

BTW, some of the best made crks of mine
