Guys,

I know it's not worth much but you should know that this knife is worth EVERY SECOND you have to wait. I got mine yesterday and only put it down long enough to sleep.

I have stated before and will state again, if you don't already have one on order, CALL ANDY PRISCO NOW!!!

Shoot me an email if you'd like me to snap a few low quality pictures with my digital camera to get you through the next few days. (It's a great camera, but I'm a LOUSY photographer.)

Jerry? Dave? Andy?

This thread has been going for ten days now. There are many loyal customers here who would very much appreciate the courtesy of a response. And considering that these customers have paid for the product in question several months ago, I think they deserve that courtesy.

Wulf...you are absolutely right. All...please accept my apologies and those on behalf of the team for not getting on this thread sooner.

I will ask Jerry to post the latest production data today.

Thanks in advance...

Andy

Sorry about the delay in answering this thread. At this point we are currently looking at an April 26 ship date. The satin finish work requires many extra man-hours with our current equipment. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

Jerry Busse

I just spent 2+ hours reading in this thread, and a few threads from a search I did. Before coming here, I was trying to find out where one bought a Busse knife, other than the combat basics.

I have a couple questions, that are enough in line with parts of this thread that I decided to post here, rather than create a new thread.

First off: Is Sharper Instinct the only source of battle grade, and other Busse knives than the combat basics? I think I read somewhere that one can buy directly from the factory, but can't find a URL that works for me.

Secondly: What is the scoop on paying up front on a knife that won't be built/shipped for several months? If dealers of other knives charge on an item that is backordered, it earns them a burn on G, B, &U. I haven't heard of any other knife/company for which this is the case. Even custom makers only charge up front for special resources, such as pearl scales, etc. Is this confined to Sharper Instinct, or does the factory do it too?

Would appreciate a little enlightenment on these issues. Thanks much,

Bugs....

Yes, anyone can order from the Busse Shop directly. Dealers offer the benefit of immediate inventory on specific models in some cases and in other cases, special models or limited runs. Sharper Instinct is not the only dealer selling Busse Combat Knives.

As for the matter of prepayment on Busse Combat Knives, I know the Busse Shop accepts deposits and prepayment. This practice is also adopted by my company. In most cases, full prepayment is not mandatory....a deposit will do to secure the Busse Knife the customer wants.

On occasion, customers offer to prepay or are willing to prepay if delivery is impending in order to stay in front on the production schedule...Busse Combat Knives are among the most demanded hard use knives in the world and when a Busse Combat customer wants his/her Busse, they make no bones about stepping up to the window to make sure they get it.

Hope this helps....

We are very close. I appreciate your patience with this project. We should be shipping within 3-4 days of our projected date and are very excited by the response that this knife has received.

You gotta be getting close now, Right? I think this is all an evil plan anyway. Since I have been waiting I have ordered the following:
Assault Shaker
BA-E ( this is my 2nd in 2 Months)
and Picked up a NO on the For Sale Forums.
I think you know we are hooked and are dragging us out. Come on Jerry, fess up(is that even a word?)
BTW- Whats the Status of the BOLO's

Soooo, It's working huh? Well, in that case. .. . .the After Shocks will be delayed for at least another YEAR!
smile.gif

The reality is that we are going to be slightly delayed but should have everything by the first part of next week. (Yeah, like you haven't heard that before) The truth is, a very close family member was visiting from out of town, and while here, he collapsed and ended up in two different hospitals. This cost Jennifer and I a week away from the shop, as the situation was touch-and-go for about 6 days.

I'm doing a lot of the work on the After Shocks, personally, and therefore the hold- up. I apologize for this delay and anyone who has now had to have their wait extended can buy me a beer at the BLADE Show. . . . did you really think for a second that "I" was going to buy "you" a beer? Yeah, sure. . . .. that's gonna happen.

Yours in nuclear apologies,

Jerry Busse

Jerry, I don't think Mabel is gonna be at the Blade Show.....

(and if I have to 'splain that, you are not a true Carling fan...)

Jerry,
Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about the Family emergency, I hope everything is now ok.
It is good to know that you are doing a large portion of the Bolo's, it kind of makes me all warm and tingly.
