Hey guys,
My second Becker has arrived, a BK 14. Seems like a good knife so far, but there is a problem with the application of the coating on the handle, would I "submit a question" under the FAQ on the Kabar website in order to get a warranty claim? To clarify, the coating is just cosmetic, no affect on function, and I am sure Kabar will get this squared away. So, I am not trying to bash Kabar or anything, I've just never had a problem with my Becker in the past, so I'm not sure how to get this fixed properly.

I'll be posting up a review in a few weeks once I get this squared away and have some time using it!

Thanks for the good reading that helped me make my decision,
BK

What is wrong with it? (Pictures help a lot with this)

Most of us just strip it and abuse it, if it is just cosmetic, strip it and beat it like a rented mule.

Chemeleon,

I might just end up doing that. I just stripped my BK-2 after a couple years of use, but I want to keep the finish for a little while. The finish will get stripped eventually I'm sure.

Here is the picture, kinda all blurs together in the picture, it stands out a bit more. I'm in Arizona, so carrying a carbon steel blade, stripped, IWB is where my concern comes in. After posting, I'm coming to the conclusion I may be getting a bit nit-picky and need to just beat the thing.

I'll be perfectly honest, I wouldn't worry about that. Throw on a pair of scales, or even a wrap and you'd forget it was even there.

this.

I usually don't worry too much about cosmetic flaws. They bug me a little bit but usually not enough to return the knife. Plus I don't mind when it gets the first scratch.

Already wrapped and on my hip, scales should be here in a couple days. Thanks guys for helping get my head back on. I forgot it was a Becker for a minute there.
