So my first ever Chris Reeve was a plain Sebenza 21 and honestly I didn't care for it that much, there I said it.

If you must know, the things I didn't like about my Seb were: Pointy thumbstud that hurts your thumb (when combined with a harsh detent), titanium lockbar was prone to lockstick, and overall just a little too boring for the price point.

However, virtually everything I didn't like about the Sebenza seemed to be fixed in the Umnumzaan. It had a normal thumbstud, ceramic ball fixed the lockstick, seemed much more overbuilt but costs the same price, and I just like that it's more aggressive looking. I've been wanting an Umnumzaan for awhile but I was really drooling over the fancier CRKs with inlays so I wasn't too serious about getting a plain grey Umnum...then I saw this knife pop up for sale...HAD TO HAVE IT.

Overall it has exceeded my expectations and this knife has redeemed CRK for me

Guess I should mention the work was done by Chris Martin at Phantom Steelworks, however he no longer pimps knives he only makes his own customs now. That is why this has been a grail to me.

That's a cool looking blade for sure!

I thought the same about CRK thumbstuds, but someone mentioned to me you put your thumb under the stud, not on the stud itself.
