Hello all,
So after waiting a week (weather delays) for my first ever order of bar steel I couldn't wait any longer. Had another test subject sitting in a dark corner of my garage...an old rusty pair of garden shears that I found many years ago, once again half buried in an overgrown piece of earth. In LA no less.
This is my attempt at a throwing knife. Attached a scrap of leather as a handle, not sure what type of stitch that is (scandi?) but was my first go at that. Had to soak it in water and dry it out in front of the wood stove for a firm fit. No signs of rust yet. I do have plans for the other half, as well as the parts that attached to the handles. Don't want to waste what seems to be good steel. Not sure exactly what the other pieces will be made into, but have a few ideas rolling around. Whatever I do decide I want them to be in the same sheath/containment as a set. I'll post it all once I'm finished.
Thanks for looking!
