Okay, here's the deal. Can't post pics, so you'll have to take my word, for what it's worth, on this. I'm going to be giving away a Case Stag Peanut. I don't have the box or anything, as this was simply a lucky hardware store find; but it is stag, and it looks nice. Bolsters are a little scratched from the display case, but the blades are factory stainless, untouched by anyone, except to open and close. I can't carry a peanut they are just too small for my hands, so this should go to someone who can, and will. If you don't like it, I just ask that you regift it rather than sell. The stag is a little fatter on the pile side, but it's a good looking little knife nonetheless. I'd like this to go to a paid member, that is, someone who's paid for at least a basic membership, and has at least 50 posts here in traditionals. This place seems to be where my heart is, when it's not with friends and family. Just a simple in will suffice, but you can also state if you like peanuts or not, carry them whatever. Pics aren't required since I can't post myself, but always appreciated. I'd like to see some of the people who don't normally enter do so: you know who you are. That's it really. Just like the other one, we'll let this run about a week or until interest runs out, whichever happens first. I'll have SWMBO draw a number. Shoulda put that in the other'. Details. Feel free to enter both or not.
Thanks, Neal70

Not an entry, sorry the peanuts too small for you, but now you know right?:D very cool of you to do 2 gaws at the same time man.

I can't pass up an opportunity at a Peanut! The Peanut is my favorite pattern. I own roughly 15 or so Peanuts but none in stag. I've never been too keen on stag, but it's an uninformed opinion, as I've never actually handled it. I would love to try out this stag Peanut. Thank you for the generous give away! I'm in! Here's a pic of a few of my Peanuts. The one on the far right has been my daily carry since last June.

Hey Neal, I will go ahead and enter on behalf of my daughter.

Frankly, peanuts are WAAAAY too small for my hands as well, and if it were just for me I wouldn't enter. But my daughter is already really into knives (she is three), and I have one peanut for her when she gets a little bit older, but it would be nice to have a nicer quality one when she is old enough to trust with a fancier knife.

Here she is reacting to receiving her current knife (trust me, it's in her hands):

I'd be in if I didn't order myself a Chestnut CV peanut yesterday. I've had one before, but sold it for some reason. I had a yellow delrin one, which I would have kept if they dealer didn't screw up and send me a stainless one instead (gave it away in the Cove). I've gotten the small knife bug again (literally, I ordered a Spyderco Bug), having purchased the Case, the Bug as well as the HoneyBee, and both the titanium and carbon fiber A.G. Russell Ultimate Pen Knife (these things are AWESOME!).

Good luck to everyone else!

I'm in. I have quite a few peanuts. Here is the last one acquired. Rose Bone CV

I like peanuts. Bought myself a yellow delrin Case several years ago, and my dad fell in love with it. I didn't give it to him, but I sent him a chesnut bone Case, and he thought it was such a cool, special knife that he bought another one when he misplaced it.

Mine got knocked out of my pocket on a hiking trail, and when I went back to look for it, a tiny kid about the size of the little girl in the pic above was showing it to his daddy, just about as excited as the little girl. I told the dad to keep it and give it to him when he felt the boy was ready.

Got a little Chinese made Boker peanut after that. Almost sent it back, but it was really inexpensive, so I worked on its problems. Had to do some serious cleaning of the dye on the bone - it came off on my hand or pretty much anything else it touched until I'd spent a few hours on it. And the edge was thick, basically unrefined and poorly finished. Reground the flats and gave it a real edge, and found the heat treat isn't any good, either. Too soft to hold an edge under any kind of use.

So it sits in the drawer. Poor little orphan. And I carry a Victorinox Executive or Pen for my tiny knife, most of the time. I'd sure rather tote a little Case, though. Maybe I'll get another one.

Anyway. Sure is nice of folks around here to give away and trade stuff. Hope whoever gets this one enjoys it as much as my dad and that little guy who got mine enjoy theirs.

Okay Neal I would also like to be considered for this one also. I love the Peanut pattern and you know what a fan I am of Stag so this may be really close to the perfect knife. Looks like Wurrwulf has you well covered on the picture. (Very nice group of Peanuts Shawn.)

I'm in! Love peanuts, perfect size for my watch pocket. I often carry a yellow delrin with CV. I'd love another! Thanks for the GAW.

I'm in on this one. I have been wanting a Case Peanut for a good while and the stag looks great. Thanks for the chance.

My modest array of peanuts. Two Case, a Frost, and a Rough Rider in saw cut bone. A couple of others I have given away. The yellow delrin CV gets the most carry. I don't have any kind of stag, so please count me in.

I'm in! The Peanut is a lot more useful than it's size suggests. I briefly had one but my dad really liked it so it's his now :)

Ive never owned a Peanut, seen one in person or every really desired one as I always seem to lean towards bigger knives...until lately. Ive found more use out of slightly smaller blades, especially traditionals and have had my eye on the little Peanut ever since. Ide love to try it out and if, like you, I realize its not for me then I will promptly and quite happily post up a GAW to ensure it finds a happy home.

Matt

I'm in. I have a nice Blue Jigged bone Peanut that my son gave me and I'd sure like a second one to join it.

Thanks,

Ronnie

It seems ridiculous to me, but I've still never owned a peanut. One of my favorite and first traditionals (but gave away) was a Case Tiny Trapper in stag bone, which I actually thought was considered a peanut. I posted in the peanut thread here about it, and it was definitely one of if not my very first post in this forum. I have a Beagle, and have had a good number of other small jack knives, but never a peanut in earnest. I'd definitely like to try one out.

I'm in, thanks for the chance.
