So this one appears to be stalled. Or are the heavy oinkers just lying in the weeds ready to pounce?

Not sure yet. I'm flipping a coin and doing the result out of 2,000. As soon as I get done I'll let you know if I'm going to place another bid.

Sure you are. ;) :D

Currently it's at 1113.88 that has to be a record for any SH Variant.

It is killing me have been watching this patiently for 2 days now trying to figure out how high I wanted to go. I did a good bit of research on this knife and the Busse line it seems to be an incredible and respected line of blades. If I win I have to figure out where to get a sheath and I will certainly come back here and the Busse Co forum to ask for help to figure it out.

If I win I have an idea for a wall display that will hopefully do justice and pride to not only HI but Mr Busse's craftsmanship. I will also need to buy another Busse knife to actually use. This one will be a pass down with my other knives to my son.

I figure if I win I helped the family and got a very nice blade for my collection. No lose situation.

I am trying to figure out how many knives that are identical to this one exist that is the only thing I can't find yet. It does state it is two of a kind with the handle being that killer snakeskin pattern. If I win and sit and stare at it half as long as I did my recent St Amour knife I will be a happy camper indeed.

Non, this is the only one :)

There's another that's almost the same that went last week that was also in memory of bill and rusty, but that one had different handle slabs

Excellent looks like my bid is still holding on. Knowing eBay auctions though someone is waiting till the final moments to jump on it. It is terribly sad about Rusty and Bill. They reputation they have is incredible even in their absence. They also happen to have one of the finest websites I have seen it, goes beyond a store and takes you into history. I will definitely be purchasing a few of their blades this week.

Anyhow thanks for the info on the auction greatly appreciated!

you wont have to worry about me sneaking a bid in at the last moment,,,

I'm out :grumpy:

gotta order some supplies for my shop next week so im not ganna be able to bid any higher,,,so my last bid was my last bid

I sure wish that i was gonna be the proud owner of it, But unfortunatly not :grumpy:

But congrats to the Lucky HOG that snares this one

$1,113.88

+ $1,025.00 for a grand total of $2138.88

Yeah, I'd say those two FSH's went out in style! Go INFI!!!!!! :)

The winner is jkothanek991r. Is that you catchindirtbags?

Thanks to all those HOGS, Mega HOGS, and to be HOGS that bidded.:)

It is an honor to win this blade what a way to start my Busse Collection. I also purchased off the site yesterday the NARK presentation edition. I got caught up yesterday on the charity portion of the auction while reading the other thread on the auctions.

Now I need to figure out a sheath to really do justice to the knife and the cause it was for. Something that is fit to go on display with the knife. I am very tempted to use this knife while bow hunting but I think it is too special to bang it up. Sort of a shame to not use it for what it was intended to do but...

There is also that Ridgeback on eBay that is tempting. Anyhow if anyone has ideas about the sheath that should go with the SH please feel free to chime in.

The ridgeback's already gone unfortunately, but that wasn't exactly a beater either :D

Maybe you'll be able to pick up a FSH on the company store that can be a user :)

This is your first? Well, welcome future HOG. You started off in a big way. I would not use this blade as it is strictly limited production done by Boss Hog himself - it is a collectible. You should know this otherwise you would not have paid so much. The HOFSHs are starting to come out and should hit the company store shortly. Get one of those if you want a user this size. Since those will not be produced for sometime again due to the production schedules, get two and make one a user.

Also, get ready to rush the trough with the other Hogs for the upcoming July specials. It will be the usual orgasmic happening where it's every Hog for himself.:D

Oh, about sheaths check the Busse Combat site for suppliers. For a display model, I would get a fancy leather sheath by Leatherman or Kenny Rowe. For a user, I would see David Brown, other one of the other plastic benders.

I contacted Leatherman/Armorallleather in hopes they could hook me up. His work is incredible and I think will compliment it big time. I also got the Nark Special Presentation off the Busse site.

I really like this forum everyone is really great and and I was incredibly entertained yesterday reading the other threads on here. I think it speaks well of Mr Busse that everyone on this forum is so genuine and apparently very loyal to him. I look forward to feeding at the trough!

While this is true, if you do use it, post pics to make some wince ;) :D

My wife said if I so much as scratch that blade I better not fall asleep. I am not sure what I was thinking when I taught her how to shoot guns, compound bows and handle a knife as well as a little US Marine L.I.N.E I guess I figured since she looks like Jessica Alba I would make her high speed like in the movies. Didn't stop to think that is dangerous with a hot blooded latina.

Time to get ready for the 4th of July blow out some buddies I was in the Marine Corps with who live an hour north are coming down to celebrate and drink massive quantities of adult beverages. They are all either state local or federal law enforcement so they will be staying over night no driving. I suspect once they see my new SH variant (picture) They not wanting to be out will visit the Busse site and they will notice my IP address making purchases.

Thanks all for the very warm welcome you all are great.
