my second hand made knife, its taken me about a month with work and a hundred other things, but its done. all the handle pieces are individually hand filed and polished, the blade and back spring were shaped with a belt grinder and a file, everything painfully handfitted (the hardest part in my opinion).
messed up a blade and a couple back springs, and the final back spring and blade i messed up but didnt realize until i hammered everything together, youll see. anyway maybe someone will be encouraged by my mess ups, even though its not perfect i still really enjoyed how it turned out and ill do better next time

so as you can see here, the notch in the blade for the male piece in the spring is too deep and squared, so that when it snaps open, its nearly impossible to close, the idea was inspired by picklocks, the tail like piece at the top of the spring was meant to be pulled back with your thumb to release the blade, but it seats too deep with the blade notch and the tension is way too strong on the spring
