Few weeks ago I got of the bay a Remington R603 with broken tip on the main blade and a lot of side play in order to restore it.
It has nice bone scales and the price was (very) cheap
Today I found the time to take care of it, using only hand tools as I don't have the proper mechanical tools. First I ttok care of the side play, hammering few times on the bolsters. Then I draw the new shape on blade with thin marking pen to see that the blade will not be proud when closed, and started to file the blade slowly cooling it from time to time in glass of water. After getting the right shape I used sand paper for fine shape and then off to the wet sharpening stones.

Now it rests in mineral oil SPA for the night, and tomorrow it will sitting in my pocket
