How does your secondary blade compare to your primary blade? Is it bigger, smaller or the same size? I'm having trouble picking the right secindady. Thanks for the input

For my secondary knife, I turn my primary knife 180 degrees to access.

I usually carry my SnG and Pat Crawford CCK as a back-up. Or, if I want to carry two folders, I carry my SnG (or another larger folder) and the Spyderco Dragonfly 2. Very light and a great size. Feels good in the hand though and can handle most EDC tasks just fine.

I will usually carry a SAK or a Multi Tool as a secondary. Not for the extra blade but for the extra tools. I can't seem to get through a day without using a bottle opener or a screwdriver.
I carry my 'main' blade in my back right pocket and my multitool or sak in my left front.

I second the Dragonfly 2. My main is usually my Benchmade Mini-Barrage (I know it's still a mini but to me it's how big my main edc needs to be, I live in the city) or my SOG Flash II. The Dragonfly 2 works great as a knife I can forget is in my pocket or bag but performs well when needed. I also have a Leatherman Micra and a Leatherman Juice S2, these knives/tools all get switched around in different combos of 2-3 for EDC it all depends what I think I'll need that day (which is usually the opposite of what I actually need).

I usually carry two knives, but I wouldn't really call either secondary, as neither is my primary blade.

I just use the one that is the best for the task I'm doing at the time.
I usually have a Sebenza or Spyderco clipped to my right pocket, and a custom or Case slip joint in my left pocket.
Probably use them about the same, but may use the slip joint just a bit more.

I always carry a big folder ~4" blade length and a small folder ~3". I keep the big one for emergencies (whatever they may be), so I have a big strong sharp knife at all times. Small one is for fun/utility/loaner/abusive tasks. If I ever get bored and want to whittle something, or let someone borrow a knife, or scrape gunk, I can use it without feeling like I am lacking a decent cutting instrument.

Currently BM Adamas and CS Hold Out III

SAK. I get more use out of my Vic alox pioneer than most of my other folders. I have been pairing it with either a Native 5 or Manix 2FFG, or Benchmade Ritter Grip. Lately I have been keeping the Pioneer company with a slipjoint, such as my Great Eastern furtaker trapper or Queen Dan Burke small barlow.

mine is usually smaller, with a blade profile/grind/material that compliments my primary. i.e. Primary may be a Rat 1, secondary will be a AG Russell 3.0 Ti lockback. the Primary is easy to sharpen and can take a beating. secondary is sheeple friendly and generally the better of the two in slicing/piercing capabilities

I almost always carry a medium to large Spyderco locking folder and a SAK. You could argue the larger blade is the "secondary" as the SAK gets more actual use when I'm in the office.

This. I have a Vic Rambler on my key chain and I use it every day but I don't think I've ever used the blade on it.

I use my Izula as a backup knife... I like it because it's always there, don't gotta worry about it breaking, don't gotta worry about losing it 'cause it's not that expensive, warranty, etc.

My primary is usually a Benchmade Kulgera or something. i like the convenience and the extra blade length. Most convenient to just flip it open and cut whatever and put it away, so my secondary is only for when I have a really tough cutting task.

Primary is a locking folder usually in the 2.5"-3" blade size, and secondary is a SAK Super Tinker w/ 2.25" main blade. I mostly use the SAK for its other tools though.

I carry my H1 ladybug on my keyring as a back up it's the smallest functional modern knife I own.

Much Smaller. My primary is a Spyderco Endura and secondary is always a Victorinox Classic (incredibly useful pen knife). I carry the SAK in the change pocket of my jeans. I also EDC a Leatherman Juice S2 which I did not intend to carry on me but I used it so much I just kept dropping it in my left front pocket. Now the Juice goes everywhere with me. Three knives (or two with a multi-tool) sounds like a lot but honestly I hardly know they are there and only the Spyderco clip is visible. If I want to be discreet I hang the Spyderco on my rope chain around my neck and nothing can be seen.

My primary knife is one of the following, depending on my mood... Spyderco Paramilitary 2, Spyderco Delica 4, Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight, Benchmade Mini-Griptilian or a Kershaw Blur S30V. My secondary is always the same... a Victorinox Rambler on my key chain.

I usually carry a primary knife (for offensive purposes). I carry a smaller secondary blade that can be used as a weapon as well in a pinch but is mostly used for utility tasks. Right now I’m carrying this Emerson as a secondary knife.
