OK. So who went to the Factory Seconds Sale?
What did you think?
I WENT! It was my first time even though I live only 30 minutes from the place. I had a ball and it made me happy! I spent a lot of money and thourally enjoyed handling all the models that I never handled before.
I asked questions and there were smart people there to answer them. I even got a bargain on a really cool sushi knife that I didn't even know they made.
The prices were bargains for the most part (even though I thought that $75 for a Seconds SpyderWrench wasn't a bargain and didn't get one) and bought 5 knives and a few stones and a shirt. Too bad I didn't get there sooner. I had to settle for a serrated second Lum Chinese when I would have rather had a plain-edge one.
One thing I thought was especially cool was that, for the most part I couldn't find a darn thing wrong with their "seconds"! A few had noticable scratches, but everything I bought I honestly couldn't figure out what was wrong with them.
Seriously, I was like a kid in a candy store! When I got to the end the lady said, "Are you finished? Would you like to check out?"
I said, "No. I'm going through again!", and I did and picked up a few more!
Can't wait until next time! Oh, what fun!
For those who missed it...
