OK. So who went to the Factory Seconds Sale?

What did you think?

I WENT! It was my first time even though I live only 30 minutes from the place. I had a ball and it made me happy! I spent a lot of money and thourally enjoyed handling all the models that I never handled before.

I asked questions and there were smart people there to answer them. I even got a bargain on a really cool sushi knife that I didn't even know they made.

The prices were bargains for the most part (even though I thought that $75 for a Seconds SpyderWrench wasn't a bargain and didn't get one) and bought 5 knives and a few stones and a shirt. Too bad I didn't get there sooner. I had to settle for a serrated second Lum Chinese when I would have rather had a plain-edge one.

One thing I thought was especially cool was that, for the most part I couldn't find a darn thing wrong with their "seconds"! A few had noticable scratches, but everything I bought I honestly couldn't figure out what was wrong with them.

Seriously, I was like a kid in a candy store! When I got to the end the lady said, "Are you finished? Would you like to check out?"
I said, "No. I'm going through again!", and I did and picked up a few more!

Can't wait until next time! Oh, what fun!:D

For those who missed it... :p

This was my second " seconds" sale.
I ended up buying 2 new knives not seconds. These were suppose to be factory overstock. And they came with a guaranty.
I bought a Blue Salsa AUS 8 alumin handles for 45. and I bought a Centofonte PE for 75. I figure I saved about 25 % on each knife. Plus no S & H
I went there to buy some of their broken return knives.Last time I bought 4 of them. This time I only got 2. There wasnt much there.
They make great edc for like construction or warehouse work, where they take a lot of abuse, Like cutting sheet rock for demo work
Also, it doesnt kill ya to lose a 5 dollar knife.

I bought a kitchen knife for 20 bucks and some stones.
I didnt buy the Lum even though that was one of the knives I went there for. They were all serrated and I wanted a PE.
I almost wish I would of bought the Lum instead of the Centofonte.

Overall I feel the sale has been a place to buy. Although, I thought I was going to save more then I did.

last time I spent about 300 bucks at the sale. This time I spent 177.

Also, per my boy who works is a carpenter/ foreman. The spyderco wrench is the best Christmas gift I ever gave him. He uses it every day. The best 70 bucks I ever spent.
Adios
