Secret Santa?

Well it's that time of year again folks, thanksgiving is over, the left over turkey is in the fridge and I'm hanging Christmas lights. The thought occurred to me today however that we haven't done one thing we did last tear to celebrate the season, a secret Santa.

Anyone interested this year? it might be a little late and I don't think I can organismic it as well as it was last year but I'm willing to try if there's interest.

Post here if so and if we get enough we can make another thread to get it started. also any ideas on how to do it (dollar limit, only gifts from home, only gag gifts etc)

This crossed my mind yesterday, but I figured it was a little late to organize it for this year.

There's also the Box of Goodies making the rounds. I considered trying to get into it late to fill the Christmas swap void.
 
I`ve got no problem with you guys doing it, but I can`t be in this year, too much going on here.
 
I would be in. It may be too late to get in before the holidays, but maybe we can do one anyways. There is always a let down after the holidays are over, so this might be something to look forward to.

any idea on what date we should aim to do it by then? if not Christmas, January 15th? sooner or later?

Good luck with priority mail. They must hire temporary morons for the holiday season. I shipped 3 packages on Monday, none have been delivered, plus one going to Chicago (25 miles from me) is in St. Paul Minnesota right now.
 
I will say this about the time frame. What I want to put in the secret santa package for someone may not be ready in time for a Pre-Christmas delivery... ;)

However, either way, I'm still in.

I was being selfish,sorry guys,it's just that I've got this box of coal all ready to go & just need a name & addy to send it on it's way...
but anytime is good for me.:)

Same here, Kyenglish sent me a package Monday, the 2 day delivery has turned into 3 day delivery. It went from Lexington Ky to Nashville Tn now back north to Bowling Green. The C/U 6 was also mailed to me on Monday and tracking shows it hasn't even left the state of GA yet.

My vote, especially considering glennbad's comment is wait till after Christmas. That will give us something to look forward to in Jan. and maybe shipping will be back to normal.
 
I could use some fire fuel to :) we just burn wood though so maybe not :)

Well that's more then enough good folks for my liking, I'll start a new thread when i get a chance, I'm voting for after Christmas though because I'd like a January day to look forward to and frankly I'm rushed right now, with finals and such, don't know if I can fit much more in.

Should we put a ceiling on the gift amount?

For my part someones begetting something from my knife box or workshop, gets around pesky dollars limits
