Securing a RP# forum knife

I am not trying to get too far ahead of this thing, but I am curious how we are supposed to secure our RP#'d forum blade. Will it be a preorder?? I don't want to miss out...
 
I think these knives are coming direct from RAT. So my guess is you'll order, and then they'll have some sort of note line or something to add your number and commence from there.
 
Everyone needs to check their RAT Pack # because I saw in another thread someone had their # wrong.
 
No worries. What we will do is generate an order form specifically for these limited knives. Once we announce that they are ready to ship, we will have everyone email us direct for the form. Fill the form out and send it back. We will charge your CC # and ship the knife. No need to pre-order. If someone does not take their number then we will offer that # for sale at the same price to anyone else who may want it. I do think we need to have a preliminary pre-order list for getting a RAT Pack number knife. So the mods need to decide how they want to do that so we will know how many knives to make. I figure (and this is purely a guess so I refuse to be held to it) that the ship date will be around mid-September on the knives. So maybe the cutoff date should be mid-August on getting a pre-order list.

Is there any chance we can pay in advance? I'd like get it out of the way a bit prior to Sept.

Jeff, a small space on the form where donations could be made towards helping a financially strapped Pack member obtain their blade would be awesome! I think many of us would be willing to help out as we can!
You RC guys give so much to others, we should be willing to kick in too!:thumbup:
 
Yes, you can pay by means other than credit card. We also take Gold.

Les, if the mods here want to collect the money and do it then we have no problem with it, but we don't want to get in that game because it just creates an accounting nightmare for us.

We do not accept pre-payment. We will only accept payment when we are ready to ship. And, yes, we will take a check or MO.

I thought RC would be the best authority as to who gets things for gratis. You guys are the industry leader in that!:thumbup:
I'm just willing to give a little to help that continue.

Might be a little more than anyone is willing to oversee. I know I do not want to be the point of contact, making any determinations or holding anyone's funds.

So, the idea might die on the vine.
 
Does hallmark make a "Thank you the forum knife" card?
:D some of us may have to get together and send one to Jeff.
 
Not to bring up a delicate topic, but is Spark getting a bit of a compensation? I think he deserves it, we all benefit from the sub-forum via BF - membership or not.

You can confirm my intent to purchase! I'm just thinking how mighty fine Option 1 will look with a sharpshooter sheath :D :D :D

I checked some online card company and I couldn't even find a thank you for the knife card :eek:. That doesn't really surprise me since I have only purchased Happy B-day cards a couple of times and thats about the only cards men give.

:D Maybe we could send him a happy B-day card.

Yet another awesome gesture from RAT, is there anything these people wont do? :D Thanks to Jeff, and all the RAT team!
 
Afaik amongst us Rat Pack there are some none US residents, the form should take care of the added shipping cost with those. (Or else find annother solution for shipping, for I already started saving toward the RAT Pack knife)

I would be more than willing to receive and forward knives to anyone outside the US if RAT is hesitant to ship directly for whatever reason, as long as my expenses in getting the knife to you were met (no profit) :)
 
Is this going to be priced the same as the RC 3, or differently? I would like to set the money aside from a large check, but I don't know how much to set aside.
 
I too am wondering what the cost might be as I will have to save some .Hopefully I will be in "The Pack" before too long.
