Security at Dulles Airport?

Upon occasion my job takes me to the D.C. area. Previously, I've used R.R. National, but this time I've been asked to use Dulles, since the conference is being held only five miles away in Reston, VA. So I was wondering what security is like at Dulles (United Airlines in particular).

I went through Dulles on Jan 1 2000, a time in which everyone was Y2K paranoid, carrying a Kershaw Blackout plain edge and did not have any problems whatsoever.
