Security Check For Amtrak?

Do they do full body checks like at airports? Just wondering if I can carry my EDC on the train or if I have to check it in with my bag?

I had no problem last year but things may have changed since then.

No security is pretty light. My father took the train to Boston last March and they didn't check anything, though they do have sniffer dogs that make the rounds.

I mean really, what's the point of hijacking a train? "Hey, you better go slower/faster on this same path you were already following or I'll stab/shoot you!"

They are mainly concerned with bombs and drug smuggling.
