See Any Resemblance?

I just picked up the April 2004 Knives Illustrated and noticed a new production knife a couple pages in. It is made by Cold Steel and is called the "Black Talon." I couldn't help but notice the striking similarity between it and the Civie/Matriarch. What do you think?

I just saw that for the first time as well. It is very similiar.

On a slightly different note - why are knife magazines so far ahead the rest of the world? I think Knives Illustrated, Blade, and Tactical Knives are all on April and we barely half way through February.

It's not just knife magazines dennis, the convention used by most of magazine publishers is that the cover date is the date to remove the issue from the shelves. When I was a kid we use to joke that I was done to give the guys in the Post Office a chance to read them first and still get them to us on time.
