The Pit is a sunken bar area in the Atrium of the Waverly Hotel at the Cumberland Convention Center, where Hogs gather after hours for milk and cookies and such.

In answer to your question in another post, trading, selling and buying does occur at the Pit, or so I've beeen told, since piglets like me fear to wander there.
