Seebie Lubrication
Hi all, Is there something besides flourinated grease that can lubricate a Sebenza properly?I tried ACE Hardware and they said they never heard of such an animal! I don't want to send in almost $20 with S&H, at this time ,for the grease from CR.
I'm not trying to be too frugal. But, I need to pay off some of this "addiction" , first !!!!!LOL.

In a pinch I've used that fluffy lithium grease sparingly and that works OK. Some use Miltec, I doubt it's too critical as long as the grease isn't too stiff.

I had a discussion with Chris Reeve at one of the NY knife shows a while back and he said that any teflon-based lubricant is fine. Rem-oil is one that I use. It works fine.

I have used RemOil but it doesn't quite do as good a job as the white lithium grease that I use. I took a saline syringe from work and it is easy to apply. Just use it sparingly and you'll be fine.

Soon after receiving each Sebbie. . .the knife is taken down and relubed. I use Sentry Solutions Hi-Slip Grease.

It's rare that I need to do another relube after applying this type of lubricant ! Great stuff !

For my Sebenza I use Sentry Solutions Hi-slip grease and it works great.

Gig you beat me by less than a minute.:p
