Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and actively seeking out a custom knife maker. If you know of anyone who isn't booked and can work on a project, let me know or guide me to the proper path. PMs are fine as well. Thanks in advance.

I recommend Alan Davis or Phil Tham for folders. Gravelle for a fixed blade.

They are all really well made and very reasonably priced.

It'll be a fixed knife, but I sent an email for a quick price quote from Gravelle (Josiah?) on the specs. Thanks for the recommendation.

Nice choice. Josiah Gravelle makes sturdy, well built fixed blades at a stupidly cheap price. He is making me one right now. :)

I would highly suggest David over at Ozark Tradition Knifeworks. He is a stand up guy and his turnaround times are pretty quick right now.

Oh? I hope it's what you're looking for, friend. I don't mind spending shiny new pennies for sharp pointy things.
He hasn't gotten back to me yet.

@steel
Thanks for letting me know, I asked David as well. :)

Last I knew he was on a business trip. So if he doesn't get back to right away that is more than likely the reason.

@Steel I'm currently getting a price quote before I decide on an knife maker, and contacted a few. He's quick to reply. :highly_amused: And not crazy expensive.
