Especially in for sale posts. Is that happening to anyone else? Or is it just an issue with my phone? Very annoying, need to close browser to escape them!

You dont currently have a paid membership so you will see ads.

Are you seeing more than usual?

Yup these are new nightmare "you have won!" Pop ups that hijack everything, not the usual banner ads. But I'll re-up my Gold membership and see if that helps thanks

You should not see popup ads ever. Ads will display in 3 places on a desktop - above the top breadcrumb, below the bottom breadcrump and in the middle of a thread in random spots between posts. If you are on a mobile phone there may also be an ad at the bottom of the screen that stays there.

Popup ads are not authorized on our platform or through our ad provider.
If you see them,
  • report what the ad says (screenshot if possible),
  • if you are redirected to another site without your clicking on it, the site you wound up at,
  • give us the time this happened,
  • Your geographic location
  • The Browser you were using
  • etc.
We have an actual emergency contact form with our ad provider to report this sort of thing.

Happened to me twice in 5 mins today while looking at "For Sale: Individual" over 12 pop up ads on my Samsung S8.

Was a Qwest add, saying "congratulations you are one of todays winners" plus about one dozen other pages behind it. Any info?

I notice it happens at random on my phone but hasn't happened at all on my laptop. "congratulations you are the 1 millionth LG user . . . "

Take screenshots if possible folks, I'm reporting htese as they come in

Thanks Spark, i have a few screenshots. How can i share them short of using a url?

Just tried logging in, and had a MALICIOUS AD REDIRECT twice, on two separate attempts (two separate page instances, the second after clearing ALL cookies after the first time). This was from landing at the error page one hits when trying to go directly to a page in W&C without being logged in first.

I just got the luckyguys.top one above as a URL redirect

I am at work (yeah...) and haven't had it happen at home, where I have dns ad blocking on my router.

Edit:This was Android and Chrome. Here's the URL and a screenshot

That's the first part anyway. The rest was info harvested to include location, ISP, OS, device ID, and a bunch more.

I've been getting these popup surveys for a phone for about two weeks.Always the same type of survey and always on my samsung s8 with the samsung browser.

It just happened again 10 mins again.I will screen shot it next time. The first time this happen they made it appear to be from my internet provider saying it was a random survey for free phones and was time sensitive.

Just an FYI, there is malware out there for phones that may be responsible for this issue.

Are you folks experiencing this on any other websites, or just this forum?

Nothing here elsewhere, though it's only happened on BF once as well (although like I said, I don't get any ads at home, which is where I normally am viewing from)
