Hello people,

As most of you know, It's quit hard to find kydex or concealex in Europe.
But we have very large producers of synthetic alloys here...They must make something similar to kydex or concealex as used in knife sheaths. Most lightly it'll be white in colour.
Now, if I have technical info on the properties of Kydex or concealex, I can call some companies here to see if they make something similar. All info is welcome, even chemical composition.

thanks in advance..Bart.

Hey Bart....

Kydex is a PVC/Acrylic blend.
What you want to ask for is Thermalforming plastic Kydex T or Kydex 100.

Not all thermalforming plastics are the same. You should be asking for Kydex by name.If they don't know what you are talking about Move On to the next supplier, as they more than likely have been living in a Cave.

Europe is a cave if it comes to knifemaking supplies.
The name kydex is unknown, and I tried all producers of plastics already.
But, they do make something similar (must be). That's why I need the tech info.

greetz,Bart. Thanks for the reply

bart just order what you want from the USA, shipping may be a little more but you can spend this time working instead of hunting

Bart,

The Kydex Web site gives information on the material's properties rather than exact technical specifications. Nevertheless, it may contain some useful information.

You may want to try searching theThomas Register of European Manufacturers. I did a quick search using the term "acrylic/PVC alloy sheet" and found 369 matching product categories. Good luck.
