I have a very special project in mind...

I want someone to fabricate a custom dagger for me that will celebrate my family's heritage.

With that being said, I am looking for a knifemaker who is experienced in making ornate dagger-style knives.

Any suggestions?

thanks.

Perhaps you should elaborate a bit more on your heritage as it will effect the materials and style of this knife. Also, if you're stating that your heritage comes from another part of the world, why not ask if anyone knows any talented makers from a specific country?

I am a Cousin Jack, which is a specific ethnic class of Celt. My name originates from a tract of land located on the Isle of Man and can be found in the Dome's Day Book of Life.

My family's heritage can be traced back to William the Conqueror, whose personal body guards included 3 brothers...One of which I am descended.

That said, I second Keith's suggestion of Jonathan Loose. Very appropriate for your needs.

J. Arthur Loose, Jake Powning, Randal Graham all do authentic + stuff in the Celtic style. (Don't read anything in the order...) I haven't owned any such piece though...

If you want deep sculpting and inspired rather than authentic, I'd add Murad Sayen.
