Dear BladeForum members,

Here's wishing you all the best for the coming year. I am new to this forum and I have signed in because I am seeking advice about a sheath (and the knife within it) Proportedly the property of an uncle who died at Sidi Rezeg in WWII - this particular knife has been in the keeping of my now deceased mother. We the family would like to learn more about it.

The steel knife has no markings but the sheath is interesting. It seems to be made of silver and a cursory google search on my part shows it to be very similar to those of Tibet. It has some foil covering part of it - and there seem to be grooves underneath. Would it be possible for me to post photos of it? And if I am allowed how exactly do I go about that?

Looking forward to hearing from anybody.

regards

Liebchen

Hi Liebchen,

Welcome to BladeForums.

You're more than welcome to post photos. The only applicable rule is that you can't ask about value as a registered user. Here's a link list on posting pictures: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1394713-How-do-I-post-pictures-from-a

I'd also suggest posting a copy of this thread in Bernard Levine's forum as the folks there have a lot of collective knowledge on these things: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/f...-Levine-s-Knife-Collecting-amp-Identification
