Seeking good quality lanyards for my knives

My preferred method of carry is changing as I get older, I'm finding it more convenient to have all my blades on paracord lanyards rather than clipped to my pocket.
I've done some Google searching for the topic but have mostly found large companies that make crap nylon "promotional" lanyards for just about everything but knives... :barf:

Can anyone help me and recommend some good people or websites where I might be able to find authentic, handmade lanyards *specifically* designed for knives?!

Look up Stormdrane's blog and try making some yourself, there's a lot of designs that are relatively easy to learn.

I second that notion. You may be a novice at knot work but it’s not all that hard, we’ve had some great discussions on knots for lanyard and general function.

Start here; Knots and Lanyards

I've been making my own paracord lanyards for some time now. I used Stromdrane as inspiration and also got a couple books on it. Ashley's book of Knots and Peter Owen has great books on knots to name 2. Plus many other sources online.

But if you are looking for a turnkey solution and don't want to bother making lanyards yourself, try SurvivalStraps.

I would also recommend giving it a try, Tying one or two can be a challange at first but once you learn it you will be proud. If you want to shoot me an email I can give you the title of a nice short book with good instructions - or of course there are tons of detailed visual places like Stormdranes blog.

Now, if you are just not patient (like me) then it is easier to just buy a few. My Daughter (who is 8 yrs old) has been making them for the forums here for a while - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=633643

You can take a look at what she does and see if any of those interest you.

Just let us know.
