seeking Handle recommendation(s)for Tomahawks

Hi all,

HOUSE HANDLE has some nice Hickory Handles (at a more than reasonable cost). Are there other Handle companies I should consider ? Also, is Hickory the best bet Wood for overall strength vs. (the more expensive) Ash Handles ? Thanks for any help.

Certainly Hickory is supposed to beat all for bending strength and Ash is pretty darn good but with Emerald Ash Borer insects on the verge of killing any and all n. American Ash trees there should be a glut of Ash lumber (and bargain basement prices) on the domestic market now. And don't forget that Hickory (or any wood) is only as good as the lumber grader and handle maker choose it to be while it's being selected, processed and milled.
