I bid on a knife in an auction from Cutting Edge, a division of AG Russell and purchased the knife. I'd like any info that any of you may help me with. The knife is made from damascus steel, bowie blade shaped similar to a Trailmaster. Brass guard, tiger maple handle, brass endcap ,black spacers at both ends of handle. The blade is marked Corbin 608, as is the custom sheath, it's stamped on the back side of the sheath. Heavy, brown leather, handmade. Both are gorgeous pieces and I've not been able to find any information regarding a custom knifemaker named Corbin. I wish that I had a digital camera so that I could provide a picture, maybe I can find one to borrow. In the meantime, can anyone guess what I have? Thanks in advance,Mike

Mike, I think this is the guy, Corbin Newcomb, 658 Woodland Ave.,Moberly, MO 65270, 816-263-4639. Says full time maker, first knife sold 1982, mark:Corbin and serial number. Also said he grinds D2, 440C, 154CM.Makes own damascus, offers cable damascus. Prices $100-500. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, sounds like it could be the right Corbin ,the mark is right. I found a guy at work with a digital camera, should be able to include a picture next week. This is the only custom knife in my collection, it is a beautiful piece of work!, Thanks, Mike
